Look, you hired me for my ability to see things from a different perspective and find new solutions to your organization's problems. So maybe you should be more open-minded, respect my experience and consider the possibility that it's actually YOU who's been pronouncing your name wrong.

I will always be amused by how much toilet tank flappers look like starships.

The Bambu Lab logo looks like someone tried printing the old Oldsmobile logo but their printer had a layer shift halfway through...

You know that weird thing you do when you’re driving and your mind wanders to something unpleasant so you change the station on the radio? Strange, isn’t it?

Time to get rid of my extra 3D printers. If you know anyone in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area who’d like a good deal on a 3D printer (1 is brand new), here are links:

After 27 hours with this printer, I’m suitably impressed. I got my first 3D printer a little over 12 years ago. I’ve had several different models over the years but this is the first one that “Just Works”. It’s weird to get excellent prints every time without having to tweak every little thing.

Merry Christmas to me. This has been an adventure. First, I went to get it at Microcenter but it wouldn’t fit in my car. Had to go back home to switch vehicles. Then I had to get it into the house by myself. It weighs 46.2 kg (~102 lbs). It’s all assembled now and running its initial calibration.

The picture looks like it was taken with a potato but I’m happy that I was able to meet Stewart Cheifet 7 years ago. I’m saddened to hear that he has left us. He was a true champion of computing’s golden era.

Managed to get a New Old Stock Sony Discman. Similar to my first CD player except this one has the radio tuner.

Currently rocking out to Tulllycraft.

What would be an appropriate wine pairing for Utz peanut butter filled pretzel bites? Asking for a friend.

it wasn't my fault and I said I was sorry but with her dying breaths the old woman laid an ancient curse on me, so that any time I hear even one measure of "what a fool believes", just one bloopy synth hook, the song gets stuck in my head on repeat for weeks on end

Correct me if I'm wrong but, at it's core, Kim Possible is really a story about a teenager struggling to learn the difference between confidence and arrogance.

My efforts to get all this vintage computing stuff organized continue. Made my first trip to Ikea in ages today to pick up some shelves. I was hoping to be largely complete with this project by tomorrow but it's likely going to take another couple of weeks. Still, steady progress...

Listening to KFAI on my Zune. Gotta say, I wish I had one of these when they were still supported devices. It's really pretty slick and I love that it has an HD Radio tuner.
