My biggest creative accomplishment of 2025 was publishing my second book: a collection of micropoetry compiled to read like one big fever dream. It started as a challenge with myself to see just how short a short story can be. The process was an absolute blast. 🩵

It's wild to me that no one has come up with a Furby crochet pattern that actually looks like a Furby. Is this my calling? Is this the pattern I'm meant to design?

I wish that this photo even came close to showing how perfect these blondies are, but alas, here's another vanilla dessert from your favorite vanilla gal.

Used to be I'd just paint a picture of a dumpster full of toilets and post it on the internet as a self portrait and no one would notice. From 2019. #webcomic

CBS's Hail and Farewell used to be my favorite thing to watch on Jan 1st for a little cathartic cry. This year they were unpleasantly warm about Dick Cheney and completely failed to mention Gailard Sartain or Bill Byrge. They barely glossed over David Lynch. I'm so disappointed. 😔

At midnight, I stood outside listening to all the fireworks and quietly farted. It was my only contribution to the cacophony. It was my goodbye to a terrible year, and a meek warning to the new one.

Bean and I just finished reading The Miseducation of Cameron Post. I'd highly recommend this one to any LGBTQ+ person who grew up in a rural area, especially in the 80's, 90's, or early 00's.

I'm realizing that aside from an affinity for first person story telling, the thing I look for in books most of all is a lack of cellphone communication. It's kind of funny considering how chronically online I am or how I'm usually reading the Libby app on my phone.

I could be negative about 2025, but I won't. Mental/physical health stuff aside, good things happened. I got out of an awful apt, won the case against my landlord, moved into a sweet small town, found the easiest cat I've ever had, got health insurance again. I'm extremely grateful.

Opened my James Marsters feed and was immediately slapped in the eyeballs by an account that was trying to sell AI generated pornographic images of male celebs. The shamelessness of people who want to make a quick buck online never ceases to disappoint.

Anyway, fixed that for the feed at least. 😔

I come to you with a Sam-scares-easy update. Yesterday a man was arrested for blowing up stuff with such intensity that it could be felt within 30 miles. I can confirm that it shook my house a couple of nights ago 10 miles away, so I guess you can't escape people being goofy anywhere really.
