First week of my 1500km challenge by 31/12. I've started in August to honour my dad's birthday month, I'm cycling, running & walking the distance and being sponsored per km. At the end of the year the money will be donated to a cardiovascular/diabetes charity. Wish me luck :)

(1/2) I have these weird superstitions (if that's the right word?) that help me deal with things like grief. I'm not religious and I don't believe in heaven but I like to imagine that when you listen to music, the people you've lost can hear it too. My dad's favourite artist released a new album

The last time I spoke to my dad before he passed away he gleefully talked about how Aldershot might make it to Wembley. I said "not a chance".. well not only did they make it they ended up winning. I wish he could have seen it, but I'd like to think he had something to do with them finally winning x

So turns out I'm an idiot and forgot my Google maps is in miles, not KM. So this may need to be revised a little *awkward* 😅
I've set myself the challenge of cycling across Europe this year. (Not actually, just clocking KMs on a static bike) In January I cycled 320km so i have roughly made it to Brussels! Where should I make my final destination? Japan? 👀

Sometimes it gives me peace to remember all the great art that emerged during times of struggle. Even during the so-called dark ages incredible painting and writing thrived, including many of the fairytales we still tell today. Art is helpful solace.

As well as gouache landscapes I've also been teaching myself some pixel art on the side. I struggle badly with isometric pixeling but hopefully one day I'll be better at it 😓 in the meantime here's some Ghibli inspired scenes!
