🎉That’s a wrap on CLM's 2025 Legal Eagles programme!

We wrapped up on Monday with an engaging mock trial at the Law Society of Ireland, centred on the exciting Ciarán v Jack Debs case.

The students from Mercy College Coolock threw themselves into their roles brilliantly.

A tenant was awarded €2,000 after being left homeless when their landlord refused to sign their HAP form.

Under the Equal Status Acts, it is against the law for your landlord/letting agent to refuse to accept HAP.
It is form of discrimination.

The latest Annual Report of the Social Welfare Appeals Office has been published.

In 2024, the overall success rate of all appeals (including revised decisions) was 47.7%. Where an oral hearing took place, 62.3% had a favourable outcome.
