A rather damp Remembrance Sunday in Lancashire. Here in Euxton we invoked plan B and retired to the church. I have to say, as an atheist I do struggle with the Christian wrapper that envelops Remembrance Sunday but have to recognise that without the churches its existence would be in peril.

Reeves and her govt could make a radical difference and completely rewrite the Ofgem rules on pricing calcs in favour of the end user. But no, she will strip away another layer of treasury income. Don’t expect prices to reduce quickly - energy companies will just carry on profiteering.
