It is entirely logical to be furious at the fossil fuel industry, whose decades-long campaign of corrupting politicians, crafting fake science, sowing false doubt, and lying at an industrial scale has brought us to this moment. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/10/o...

Nico was very happy with his Christmas drugs (he got a catnip pickle embroidered with “I’m a big dill!”)

Merlin has no respect for end-of-semester grading. He demands that I pet him, and smacks me until I comply.

Hwæt! There is a MAGIC WAND that detects which switch on your circuit breaker panel operates which wall outlet!! And if you plug in the plug-innable part to the outlet, you can then WAVE THE MAGIC WAND at your circuit breaker panel and it will beep to tell you which switch to throw! !! !!!!

Maybe Merlin’s middle name should be “Comestor,” or maybe he should have an epithet. Merlin the Destroyer. This is the third book he’s tried to eat (I thought it was out of his reach).

Sometimes one may not realize that the consequences of responding to the innocuous question, “Do you like mangoes?” are being gifted with a mango. I have now been mango’d.

Well, time for my first thread here on BlueSky, and I'm pissed off. I've been catching up on the situation with F&SF and Sheree Thomas. I'm slow because I'm not on FB anymore, where apparently the bulk of the convo is happening, and I'm barely on Twitter. Anyway.

This excellent Nose of Percy was sent to me by his daycare. They are also clearly fans of the Nose.
