AG Weiser’s lawsuits countering Trump’s regime are frequent, strong, and critical to maintaining medical care in Colorado
BREAKING—we just filed case #53 to stand up for Colorado and against the bullying actions of this administration, protecting access to public health funding.
Attorney General Weiser announced a lawsuit to defend critical grant funding from the Trump admin's unlawful attempt to cut it. The funding allows states to track disease outbreaks, maintain their data systems, and employ public health professionals: https://bit.ly/3O8rHsk

I will always show up, listen, and work hard to deliver results--that's my record as AG, that's how I campaign, and that's how I will govern as our next Governor.
Kicked off the year with townhalls, marches, and meeting Coloradans where they’re at. I will continue to show up, stand up, and fight for Colorado. #PhilforGovernor #COpolitics

Another great lawsuit, @philweiser.bsky.social! Drive stakes through its and all other coal burners’ hearts
I will continue to protect our land, air, and water—and take on this administration’s lawless actions. 👇
AG Weiser filed a petition stating there is no emergency justifying the U.S. Department of Energy’s order to keep the coal-fired Craig Unit 1 in Moffat County available and that the order is an unlawful abuse of the federal government’s emergency authority https://bit.ly/4ka4vWv

Nobody is above the rule of law, including federal agents such as ICE or border patrol. Our new reporting form is about keeping our communities safe and reminding them that we have their back. If you see misconduct from a federal agent, please report it to our office.

This is an excellent, concise catalogue of the destructive effects of our extreme wealth disparity. While it’s true that no major parties have a manifesto “to make billionaires history”, Bernie and Democratic Socialists of America (not a major party) state “billionaires shouldn’t exist”.

Dozens of students from Coronado High School walked out earlier this afternoon to protest the inhuman actions of ICE and to honor Renee Good, a Coronado High School graduate. Because ICE's actions are more than just a political issue, they're a human rights issue.

This video shows the ICE agent was untouched by Renee’s car and that is what the agent demonstrates. If his foot had been run over or his leg clipped he’d have limped or rubbed sore muscles but when walking to the crashed car he looks pain free www.nytimes.com/video/us/100...

@50501cos.bsky.social & @indivisiblecs.bsky.social on 2 days notice put together a big anti ICE rally here in Colorado Springs. It was a poignant remembrance of Renee Good, a CS high school grad, celebrated for her humanitarianism, music, and absolutely brilliant poetry

Well put.
Everything we've made will break, buildings and streets will crumble, and cities will be abandoned. But the CO₂ we emit into the atmosphere will persist for centuries, and the climatic impacts will last longer than human civilization has existed. This is our legacy for the future.

It’s very mind boggling that Trump closes needed east coast offshore wind turbines and embraces unwanted coal plants that were scheduled to close. Colorado houses world class renewable energy facilities including NCAR that General Weiser is fighting the Trump regime to keep open
Our nation's failure to embrace cheap solar energy--and to cede the field to China is mind boggling. Just consider what is now happening in Africa--and how China is seeking to lead the world in clean energy. In Colorado, we will continue to lead on clean energy. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/30/c...

Attorney General Weiser has filed 47 law suits against Trump lawlessness to protect Colorado environment, sustainable energy, Medicaid, and fair elections with mailin ballots the way like’m. @indivisiblecs.bsky.social @50501cos.bsky.social
The Trump administration is reportedly moving to dismantle NCAR in Boulder, risking jobs and research that is crucial for our nation’s safety. But this administration’s threats against Colorado won’t work. I’ll always stand up for Colorado and fight against lawlessly bullying.

This is fascinating - and sad.

Only 37% of us think it's too late to act? That is a lie from the pit of the tar sands, my fellow Canadians!

As Christiana Figueres says, "We are only as doomed as we believe ourselves to be."

This is how we can change our future: bsky.app/profile/kath...
11-12% of Canadians identify as climate doomers, meaning they think climate action no longer matters and it is too late to make a difference. When you look at breakdowns by social media use, up to 37% of Bluesky users are climate doomers.

Actually he’s both
I called both Fetterman and McCormick this afternoon and demanded that Vought be dragged in front of a Senate committee to justify his actions. The guy is either out of his mind or just plain evil.

Hey @philweiser.bsky.social , is there anyway a CO AG office lawsuit could stop Trumpian destruction of this critical, Boulder based climate and weather resource?
NCAR is quite literally our global mothership.

Everyone who works in climate and weather has passed through its doors and benefited from its incredible resources.

Dismantling NCAR is like taking a sledgehammer to the keystone holding up our scientific understanding of the planet.

Unbelievable.

As James says, this isn't even about climate.

It's about all the tools, platforms, models, datasets we use to study and forecast weather and understand how it impacts people, too.
These people are nuts. NCAR developed the GPS dropsonde, which revolutionized the understanding of TC structure, improved forecasts, and validated remote sensing platforms, as documented in over 400 peer-reviewed publications in the last 25 years. And that’s just one of NCAR’s countless advances.

Or rather, all too believable. If you want to suppress all knowledge of how a relatively small number are enriching themselves by destroying our shared home then this destruction, following on the heels of the funding freeze for the national Climate Adaptation Science Centers, is completely logical.
