Yes, this is a death sentence for whole regions. These forests are giant filtration systems for water sheds, they hold moisture during droughts, & keep the soils in place. This will contribute to desertification & a cascade of diseases and blights.
President Trump on Saturday signed an executive order to radically increase logging and road building on hundreds of millions of acres of national forests and other public lands.
