The demise of butterflies & other pollinators — bees, fireflies — will trigger a food crisis. Our inability to coexist with nature will lead to humanity's downfall. We must stop using fossil fuels that heat our planet and pesticides that kill our agricultural allies.

This current stabilizes the climate under which much of civilization has developed. If it shuts down, chaos ensues.
The Antarctic Circumpolar Current mixes together water, heat, carbon dioxide and nutrients from the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans in the planet’s most powerful climate cauldron. New research shows that freshwater from melting ice threatens the stability of the current.

Trump could be derailing a major global climate report. The administration terminated a NASA contract for work overseeing one-third of the next major IPCC report, focused on what we can do to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and remove some of the planet-warming gases from the atmosphere.
