I listened to this podcast episode last night.
Mark Chrisler pulls absolutely no punches on the Confederacy, certain members of our current administration, & provides an educational view on military base names.

Who knew this could be so interesting.

I mean this as an honest question.

Why are people in videos holding their little tiny microphones in front of their faces?

Don't we have better microphone technology for video creators in this the year of our lord 2025?

Am I the only one who finds this incredibly weird to see?

discuss?

on veterans day I think of the Mike Birbiglia bit where he says:

"I love the troops. Because if they weren't the troops *I* would be the troops, and I would be the worst troops."

This stays with me forever. I too would be the worst troops.

Here's to the veterans. All of them.

I tried to buy plane tickets to fly up to see mom in Mass. But no.

1. Didn't trust these jerks, figured my flight would get canceled while I was in the airport
2. 300 bucks each way to fly to Providence from BWI. The hell?
3. It's not even Thanksgiving yet.

The Federal Aviation Administration will reduce air traffic at many busy airports to maintain safety during the government shutdown, which has led to staffing shortages of air traffic controllers.

first halloween year in our new house. didn't know what to expect of the neighborhood. Got about 30 halloweeners, bought candy for 3000.

DWG & GWG will be enjoying the bountiful overpurchase of all our faves for the next few days. My A1c says "no, please don't" and I listen to it.

take THAT you shitty sweater in the back of my closet that I haven't worn since 1986!!!! you're next!
Annual reminder that the fake spider webs you stretch across your front porch look nothing like spider webs and instead just look like you murdered a sweater and have hung up its flayed corpse as a grim warning to all other knitwear.

"...we'll see what happens. i would love to do it. i have the numbers."

no you won't. stop talking about this. stop "flirting" w/ the idea. Shut up Bannon, Shut up everyone.

Absolutely illegal, absolutely unconstitutional.

Just everyone STFU. Do not feed the troll.
Trump keeps flirting with the idea of a third term. That would be unconstitutional
A recent interview with Steve Bannon reignited chatter about whether President Trump would try to run in 2028, despite the 22nd Amendment.
