My mom died two months ago. This is the first year in over a decade that I have not been focused on my parents and making sure they felt seen and connected to family. I've never liked Thanksgiving very much – I don't like the winter holidays much at all. Family of origin echos. /1

Generally speaking I don't particularly like to cook. I'm 69, and cooking was a women's chore. My mother was ecstatic in the 60s one convenience foods came along. So I was raised on that. 🤷🏼♀️
I married a fabulous GenX'er who loves to cook and he's good at it. /1
