So....they're going to send every family $1,000 every month...so we can all buy health insurance? That's a hell of a plan...

More conning by the regime-filled with what seems to be people that have no conscience, heart or integrity, just like the guy who hired them. They are not there to better our lives, only to serve themselves. They must be held accountable along with their mob boss.Remove them, indict& prosecute them all.

This is what happens when a country is run by billionaires and millionaires. They literally have no idea how as little as a few hundred dollars a month can destroy a family.

Doesn’t $2k buy about one month of really good insurance?
What do we do the other 11 months?

So they're going to send $20 or $30 thousand dollars to individuals?
$2,000 bucks ain't gonna cut it.
The more these guys talk, the more I am convinced we need a health system supported like the NHS in the UK.
And if you can afford to buy extra insurance, then do that.

That's how the ACA works, they give you a subsidy that you can go online and pick the plan that's best for you, carrier as well. You know who doesn't allow that, employer provided healthcare. You get whatever the company has chosen and that's who you're stuck with until they change their mind.

Yeah, if that check was, say, $ 20,000 (or more) for every man/ woman/ child and you got a check like that every year guaranteed for the rest of your life....and also if pre-existing exclusions were not allowed.

.....but that would be "socialism" and, therefore, the GOP would forbid it.

They are pretending private insurance is a good thing, it’s not. The GOP loves profits and hates the govt. Private insurance means a significant portion of what Americans pay for healthcare goes to insurance company shareholders who are only interested in profits and who provide no service.

We’ve never had a free marketplace in the U.S. because it’s a fantasy. Friedman sold it pretty well, or at least granted the rich plausible deniability for pretending to believe in it, as they use their power to enrich themselves at our expense.

Dr Oz on the propaganda trail. Seems he's selling the new Health Care Plan rolled out by the Republican Political Party: A doctor on the front lines to undermine health care. Offer 2K consolation prize for losing health Insurance or having the cost of it spike up to an additional 10K a year.

My husband was a T1 diabetic and nobody would insure him. Insulin and supplies without insurance was ungodly expensive. He died at 41. 3 sons, worked from the time he was 15, a lovely human, important to his community, and tossed away like he was of no value. And, yes, I will die still mad about it.

So instead of a subsidy for the insurance, you just take that check and send it to your insurance company. How stupid do they think we are?
