Blooming Corpse Plant at the local gardens. Surprised the smell wasn’t stronger but it was the humidity inside the greenhouse that almost did me in.

This is the first cyber truck that is interesting to me. I can see it being in a Jurassic World movie with its military-adjacent style. But I’d also enjoy watching a sauropod stomp it on the big screen.

Every car wash (3 different ones) I’ve been to in the last three years there’s been an attendant at the paying kiosk who tries to upsell me or get me to pay for subscription-like service. It’s wildly inappropriate in my opinion. Like I can press the touch screen and insert my card without your help?

Previous to the FDA, folks would put chalk and plaster of Paris in milk to make it appear white. They could also add formaldehyde to cover the smell and taste of spoiled milk.

When de-extinction priorities are made based on SEO than conservation feasibility, then we all lose.
The easy, glib invocation of Indigenous peoples mixed with the (clearly more important) fact that Dire Wolves are a pop culture icon fills me with deep and visceral loathing

23andMe declared bankruptcy and the company is gonna be sold off for parts. That includes your DNA information and the only amount of control you have is to delete your info immediately. It’s very simple to do.

After spending all their adult life at sea, the container ship seeks out the estuary where they were born to mate and lay their eggs. It’s a perilous journey and not all ships make it to their spawning grounds.

Learned today that the national park service has secured the purchase of an important parcel of land abutting Grand Teton National Park. The purchase will help secure wildlife migration, corridors, and habitat. As well as gorgeous views, like this photo I took, of the mountains from afar.
