Agree entirely. It sowed confusion and turned people immediately back southwards on to others marching northwards. If not for the volunteers trying to get the message through and people sharing the message, it could have been much worse.
Police conduct at turning around a march of 100k people with a text needs serious investigation. It was only the incredibly good natured and generous mood of most protestors that averted a catastrophe. No explanation given as yet. It better be brilliant for the risk it put us to.

By now, we've all seen the video of Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA) being forcibly removed and handcuffed for asking a question during Kristi Noem's press conference.

But what Noem said just moments before the video was taken is "classic authoritarian red-baiting," points out @davidcorn.bsky.social.

Imagine this: On the evening of March 8, you and your spouse unlock the door to your apartment building. As you step inside, two men—not in uniform—push their way in behind you. They tell you your visa has been revoked and that they are there to deport you.

As the economy continues to tank...
I've quoted this passage from Trump -- where he states his intent to cause riots and US economic collapse -- so many times. He flat-out announced it on Fox News in February 2014. In my book HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT I quote my own 2016 essay warning of his plan:
