I studied Gulf War vets’ health in grad school. The PACT Act was meant to expand care + research on toxic exposures. Now the VA is slashing positions and censoring doctors from publishing findings.

This is dangerous.

Poor air quality from pollution is a HUGE concern linked to deaths, shortened life expectancy and conditions including asthma, COPD, cancer and cardiovascular disease likely in large part to impacts on immune function. Its vital we monitor air quality so we can understand mechanisms & impacts 🧪🧵
