The running has restated after about 3 years. CouchTo5K wk 2 complete today. All prep for a 10k in June with my niece raising money for @CR_UK in memory of my sister. Every penny for this incredible charity is well deserved. All support is appreciated. fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/team/annas-1...

I seem to have had lots of follows on here with very few posts! I'll be more interesting soon, I promise. At the moment, getting through the week of a new job at school and a new job at home is taking up most of my time.

Just finished my final bits of handover for my current school, sent a final message to our leadership team, and signed out of my account on all devices. End of an era.
Now, to spend the rest of this weekend with my incredible family before a new journey begins Monday.

This message is so important. It really bugs me when I hear "I got a 3, I failed", or "he/she/they are failing subject X as they are only on a 2". These are academic level 2 qualifications. Getting a 1, 2 or 3 still requires learning, knowledge, application, evaluation and skill.
Just before tomorrow begins - an important message:
Grades 1-3 are not fails. Us or Xs are. Anyone with a 1-3 HAS GOT A GCSE. And for some of those kiddos, a 1 or a 2 or 3 can be a phenomenal result that they deserve to be proud of. Let’s be a bit more responsible in our language.

The butterflies for GCSE results day tomorrow are as present as they were for my first as a teacher.
