Merriam-Webster.com defines citizenship as “the quality of an individual’s response to membership in a community.”

If America is our community, then our membership (or citizenship) requires a response.

My response to all of this chaos is doing what I do best: educating others. What will yours be?
I am excited to announce that I will be on the Politics with Paul Podcast to talk about my new book Civics for All: A Crash Course on US Government and Politics on Wednesday, October 15th!

I’ll post the video here after the interview.
You can find the show on YouTube, Spotify, or Apple Podcasts.

This is an interesting analysis by CNN. People keep voting for the opposition because they want something different. However, we need to improve civic education to help voters understand that ‘different’ doesn’t always mean ‘better.’ www.cnn.com/2025/09/07/p...

I just want to take a moment to acknowledge the fact that millions of Americans are learning how the legislative process works by watching this. It has been 49 years since Schoolhouse Rock’s “I’m Just A Bill” aired on TV.
🚨The Senate has passed its version of the reconciliation bill.

Now, it heads back to the House with a goal of passing by July 4.

Tell your Rep. to oppose this dangerous bill that cuts billions from essential American programs while simultaneously supercharging immigration enforcement.

Act now 👇

You did it again @netflix.com! #Squidgame3 is a brilliant reflection of the human condition: Greed and cruelty dominate the majority, but a defiant minority based on love and helping others ultimately wins. And chef’s kiss on the ending! The ultimate game of greed and capitalism belongs in the USA!
Thank you @netflix.com! Something about seeing a group of people continually vote for their own destruction by the slimmest of margins while showing nothing but contempt for the person trying to warn them about the future was oddly cathartic. I guess art imitates life 🤷‍♀️ #squidgame2

Tapping out because you’re hurt is one thing, but all of the women leaving together because they think they can’t hold their own against men is crazy and sends a horrible message. Kudos to Cheney for sticking it out. #NakedAndAfraid #LastONEStanding

I used to check X to see what conservatives were saying about a given topic, but now it’s just a nonstop commercial for Elon and his businesses. What happened? I didn’t think it was possible for anyone to suck more air out of a room than Trump, but here we are.

Any form of political violence, especially against elected officials, must be whole-heartedly condemned.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Politics was never supposed to be the blood sport that we have made it into. It’s just a way to transfer power between opposing groups without resorting to violence. It’s a war avoidance tool that we’re supposed to use to solve societal problems. Crazy right?
The fundamental way a lot of people engage with politics is picking a side and trying to win, which is understandable because it’s the way politics are modeled and how people are encouraged to engage. But it’s then easy to forget that politics is supposed to be about making life better for everyone

What a ridiculously misleading headline! The article says Reps want Dems to try to impeach Trump as a boomerang strategy to motivate their voters for the midterms.

Don’t want Kemp to win in GA, but it would be nice to have a non-MAGA Rep out there campaigning on refusing to kiss Trump’s ass.
