i want to repeat this: mamdani and spanberger have run similar campaigns tailored to their respective electorates and it is maddening to watch political journalists attempt to create some broad contrast where none exist
the other thing about this is that there is no reason to pit these candidates against each other? each are good fits for their respective electorates and each shows the value of vigorous campaigns focused on the stated material problems of voters.

He's taken on new roles in 11 companies since November 2024.

A Naperville man was hauled away by federal immigration agents Thursday morning as his two sons watched, the older boy begging them not to hurt his father and tearfully asking for a chance to speak to him before they left.

We are currently in a state of emergency, and under siege, here in Chicago.
ICE is a lawless, violent gang whose abuses of innocent men, women and children have gone completely unchecked.
To be clear:

LA County has declared a state of emergency BECAUSE OF the federal government.

The Feds, LA County is (correctly) saying, have CAUSED the emergency.

This is a striking political moment of internal collapse. Local govts feeling compelled to protect their ppl from … their own govt.

Judge: That's what I'll do. Prohibit federalization or deployment of any NG troops into Oregon. For all reasons in prior opinion. Deployment of federalized military is ultra vires and contrary to law, violating Title 10, section 12406. I also find it's likely that defendants violate 10th Amendment.

Left-leaning pages appear to have handily won the online "shutdown" battle yesterday.

They outpaced right-leaning pages on posts mentioning the "shutdown" and "health care." Their totals on those issues also both surpassed the right's mentions of "immigration."
