Every time the official FFXIV account posts there's a handful of miserable weirdos complaining in the comments and quotes. For me, this is like catching crawdads in a little cage. I get 2-3, I mute them, I make a tasty soup out of them, it's very relaxing and productive 🦞

I find it satisfying to learn using a guide as a baseline. There're things you often won't notice if playing self-taught. As a member of a raid team, I feel it is just good manners to try to do the best I can and not wing it. I've learned a lot of tricks about PLD but the guide got me started.

Summer of 2020, during 5.3. I was very dissatisfied with other MMOs at the time and luckily found the singular one with a coherent storyline. My only regret is not starting sooner. It will be six years of almost continuous daily play this August.
