MAGA influencer Tim Pool emerged from his mother's basement to go on Fox News last night and claim Trump has masterminded this entire Epstein cover-up to get Democrats to stop talking about the economy.

Great theory.

For me personally, this story stirs deep emotion.

My first film, The Take (2004) was the story of workers in Argentina who were abandoned by their bosses, and took their factories back.

They took them over and ran them as worker cooperatives.

At the heart of this story is the workers: the lifeblood of the CAMI plant in Ingersoll for generations.

This plant is their blood, sweat and tears.

Day in day out, their skill and commitment.

Their families, their community.

Workers make this country run.

Ottawa could do it with incentives, and all the muscle and urgency it's putting behind Major Projects right now - saving these jobs and creating thousands more.

Or just guarantee that public money goes directly to the public good and do it under public ownership!

Not to mention the fact that the Government of Canada should have been this plant's biggest customer.

You want a nation-building project?

Convert the country's delivery fleet to electric, roll out the infrastructure, create union jobs and do it with Canadian steel.

First of all, the government of Canada should never have let this happen.

The US needs to sell cars in Canada - we're their biggest foreign market! $23 billion USD in sales here last year.

We need the auto pact back: you want to sell a vehicle here? Build a vehicle here.

Huge solidarity to @unifor.org local 88.

1,100 workers making EV delivery vans, laid off by GM.

Now they're saying, enough!

If GM comes for the machines, they'll occupy the plant.

See that Rolex clock and gold bar?

It looks like those Swiss gifts paid off.

Trump cut tariffs on Swiss goods — like luxury watches — from 39% to 15%.

While Trump’s tariffs increase prices for Americans, billionaire CEOs and foreign companies sucking up to Trump get relief.

Do you know who is paying for Trump’s ballroom?

Amazon
Google
Apple
Meta

And a bunch of other companies that coincidentally have business in front of the Trump Administration right now.

So are these companies getting special favors in return? I’m pressing for answers.

Can I ask a question?

Why in the hell do we give tax breaks to corporations making obscene profits?

The entire system seems like a welfare program for the rich!

Corporations are sucking the money out of this country and giving it to their shareholders. The short-term gain for them destroys long-term value. If you don't have a government that takes care of its citizens, then you'll have fewer citizens in the future. Fewer consumers = Long-term loss.

Some of you point out that the big players have used various tricks to keep their own $ safe. True.

That's why we need to think about how to prosecute them for fraud.

Those bubble-inflating claims - AI will cure all disease! end climate change! double lifespans! - are essentially Theranos X 1000.
The AI bubble may be about to bust.

Peter Thiel has sold all of his Nvidia stock.

We all need to say this very clearly:

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3
