We're living through one of those rare historical periods: a revolution by the rich. Usually, the rich oppose revolution because they benefit from the status quo. But this is a period where they think they can benefit from radical change (see the fencing of the commons in 18th Century Britain).

Gotta give Trump credit-he's done a great job of bringing NATO together.

There are about 260,000 persons of Somali descent in the US. All but about 15,000 are US citizens. Why does Trump hate American citizens so much?

The Trump Administration is claiming that Ross has absolute immunity. This is of course false. He might have qualified immunity but that requires him to jump several hurdles (speaking as a lawyer who has tried civil rights cases). 1/

Everybody's quoting Orwell -- 'The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most important directive.'

But even Orwell didn't realize that the faithful would reject the evidence of their eyes and ears without even being told.

Cop should be charged with murder 1 (premeditated). Rule is that first shot can be unpremeditated but not the second and third.

We need a Section 1983 action for federal officers. We can't rely on Bivens Actions. Some Democrat needs to tee this up.

This is the kind of stuff that the GOP used to say about blacks (Reagan's welfare queens) but that became unfashionable so now they say it about black and brown immigrants. It's all the same racism.

Comer: "It appears over 75% of the Somali population in America is on full welfare benefits. The argument to letting people into the US has always been we need workers. For whatever reason this particular community, which is a major flank in the Democrat Party, they are milking the system."

Trump's desire for Greenland has nothing to do with economics, it's purely about Trump's ego. He wants to go down in history as the guy who expanded the USA landmass by 25%.

Same with Venezuela. He wants to be the guy who increased America's oil reserves by 800%.

There were nine other Venezuelans named in indictments in addition to Maduro (mostly other government officials). Why didn't we arrest them?
