Tired, old nerd, sci-fi & Trek fan. I don't care what era of Trek you like or hate just as long as you treat each other with dignity & respect. Okay? It's literally that easy to do. Gen-Xer with one foot in the grave. Progressive/SocDem till the day I die.

Hi.

I'm Chuck. Actually, I was named after my father but my mother thought "Chuck" was a better name to call me by. Needless to say, it had mixed results.

Anyways - welcome to my Bluesky page. Oh and here's a picture of me at the Kennedy Space Center.

"You're not Helping Doctor." lol

Always loved this bit when Neelix was talking about how he felt looking into the Void that the ship is Traveling through and the Doctor says the experience is close to what he experiences when he's deactivated.

RIP Robert Duvall

Love this (edited) scene with him from Deep Impact.

SPOILERS

An meteor impact is about to wipe out all life on earth. Duvall and crew decide to ram it. With the nukes aboard, they might destroy the meteor.

Dress warmly when you visit Titan.
Where does it *feel* the coldest in the Solar System?
Based on heat conduction, it's Titan by far.

I wish I could come up with something as artistically exciting as everything the Homeworld series has done since the 90s. Even Homeworld 3, for all of its faults, is one of the most visually stunning games I've ever played. The setting is so *excellent*.

I'm 100% convinced that the central panel behind Kirk on the Enterprise-A bridge in Star Trek VI was recycled for the Enterprise-E in Star Trek: First Contact, alongside those bloody turbolift alcoves.

Paramount was nothing if not cheap when it came to the Star Trek movies.

This Star Wars starfighter is always a favorite of the nerd who has just learned a lil bit more than what appears in the films.

I remember this bad boy from Han Solo at Star's End, the Thrawn trilogy, and of course the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels.
