Cervesa Victoria, El Vicio Michelada mix, juice of one lime. Rimmed with sea salt and chili powder. The jalapenos are from the garden, salt cured, lacto-fermented. Still working on the aesthetics, but my stars, it's delicious

30 January 1649

Charles Stuart, King of England, will walk through the Banqueting House. A cold day, he has put on two shirts, so he won’t shiver.

At 2pm, for high treason, he will be “putt to death by the severinge of his head from his body.”

Charles II executed on 30 January 1649. A brief independence (although technically not for the UK, which didn't exist as such, and not if you were Irish who were about to experience all sorts of horrors). That said... all right, I give up. I'll have a cup of tea and a lie down like most days.

If you can, listen to this album via FLAC.

You'll likely need to visit a certain Bay of Pirates (allegedly) to get in, but, well, garr.

We release music on cassette tape to reach the widest possible audience. Streaming, mp3s and even CDs are relatively new technologies that not everyone is willing to embrace. People know and trust cassettes, and aren’t dazzled by every shiny new thing, especially for something as important as music.

A chair supposedly belonging to John Bradshawe is up for auction ... Trouble is, the inscription doesn't match the facts and he never lived at Bradshawe Hall in Derbyshire. That was a completely different branch of the family. I suspect this is as genuine as the blasted hat.
