Nostalgia nowadays is: Waiting daily for the Royal mail postman to deliver BMD certs when they were posted out on the 21st... reminds me of waiting for letters every day when I was young. #genealogy #wheresmycertificates

The British Newspaper Archives in partnership with @britishlibrary.bsky.social and @findmypast.bsky.social recently added Jackie to its' library, a weekly teens mag that ran from 1964 to 1993. This includes the popular Cathy and Claire' pages, an agony aunt page offering some questionable advice!

This is quite concerning from Ancestry. Although I'd love it all NRS records to be available, this could have a huge impact on them. What do you think? #genealogy www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Military records provide excellent insights into heroic efforts countrymen went to in service, but files can sometimes report on the misdemeanours as well. This record shows this chap consistently being reported, but what might 'committing a nuisance in his bed' have referred to? #Genealogy

Why can't Meta have an actual support function when you can't log in? Swapped sim to new handset & all verification methods failed to get into FB. Codes are invalid. Old recovery number is out of date. So now suspended and in limbo with no way of raising a support ticket. Had the account 18 years!!

Being quiet on social media whilst I plough through case studies for my Dissertation. I'm wondering why a nephew would be called an 'adopted son' in the 1951 census, only to be called 'nephew' in the next 3 census records. He's not my main focus though so will have to keep guessing! #genealogy #msc

Back to a little Cypriot research for a couple of days and I found this photo of my Bapou (grandfather - centre) from when he was a chef at a posh French restaurant in central London. Poss. late 40's? Dad thinks it was called 'La vie' or similar. Any ideas? #genhour #genealogy
