Over the past year, I have had the privilege of taking part in the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme, allowing me to spend time directly with members of our Armed Forces.
Throughout October, my team and I have tackled issues with housing, road safety and Universal Credit, and worked closely with Enveco, Highways, Blackpool Council and others to ensure constituents of Blackpool South are supported. 🤝

Between reproductive health, pregnancy and birth and longer life expectancy, women are more likely to need medical care across their lifetime. But there’s a huge gender bias in medicine means women’s symptoms often go under-recognised or misdiagnosed.

I was pleased to reaffirm my support for WASPI Campaign's women in Parliament this week. 1950s-born women have waited long enough for justice. Ahead of December’s High Court hearing, I urge Ministers to deliver fair compensation to all those affected.

I’ve long said that Blackpool has the answers to its own problems and when MPs from the Health and Social Care Committee came to Blackpool this summer, what they found were perhaps answers to the whole country’s problems – at least when it comes to the first 1,000 days of life.

I’ve long said that Blackpool has the answers to its own problems and when MPs from the Health and Social Care Committee came to Blackpool this summer, what they found were perhaps answers to the whole country’s problems – at least when it comes to the first 1,000 days of life.

New figures show the number of people claiming PIP has risen to 3.8 million – with Lancashire seeing some of the highest rates linked to mental health conditions such as anxiety, autism and psychosis.
