Also, my Dad’s toast to my Mom last night was very sweet. And they reminded us all that their first date was LSU-Kentucky.
LSU won. It was Homecoming, my Mom wore a mum corsage. They graduated high school in ‘72, so it was either 1972 or 1973.

I did not take many pictures tonight, but because Louisiana does everything better than you, among the feast was Boudin Dip and Crawfish Etoufee Balls.
I am stuffed to the gills with doberge cake, prosecco and a bread pudding that should be illegal.

Okay one funny story — my parents rented a garage apartment. The lease started a few weeks before they were married.
My grandparents were Trad Caths and my Mother was not allowed to be alone with my Dad.
She could not step foot in their apartment alone with my Dad until after the wedding.

Both my grandparents have passed, and years ago my parents bought and renovated her childhood home.
Today, she woke up in the house where she got ready for her wedding 50 years ago. She was so young!
