I watched @zackpolanski.bsky.social on Sky this morning and it’s still so refreshing to see his conviction and ability to come back on what have been perennial challenges to his arguments. There are now several broadcasters who may not agree but have voiced their respect. Keep going Zack!
Cheers!

We don't have to agree on absolutely everything.

But want lower bills? Think billionaires should pay more tax?

Of all policies this “privatisation by stealth’ is one of the most frightening. Giving power to corporates is exactly why our USA family is being subjected to the “coup” by project 25 - more power - more cash for the big corps.

Another attempt to squeeze as much free labour as possible from “the workers”. But it will backfire - the workers who make businesses and corporations rich must have a parity of reward - after all they are the wealth makers too.
Blair wants to ban workers rights.
Join the dots
The nationwide rollout of Freeports, SEZs, and AI Growth Zones are carve outs where different laws and regulations apply separately from the host country.

We must tackle wealth inequality but without teaching our children how they can shape their own reality despite challenges or setbacks experienced in their lives it will not be long lived. We must teach children how they can reprogram using neuro plasticity and love. #loveistheanswer

Sharing this again. Amazing response - this petition is now only 116 signatures short. If you’ve already signed it would be lovely if you could share with your network.

Many thanks for those who have signed and shared already,

It wasn’t until I undertook my degree that I truly understood critical thinking/enquiry and writer bias - school didn’t equip me adequately for this. So this is excellent news and they need to start in primary school!
School pupils are to be taught how to tackle conspiracy theories, spot 'fake news' & root out misinformation. The Daily Mail, ajudged by Wikipedia to be an unreliable new source, is furious. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to work out why.

Only a few hundred signatures to go. Can you help @europeanpowell.bsky.social reach the 10k signatures needed?

And suddenly we feel hopeful. There are people who want to embrace our diversity - have a society where all can live their best lives - create opportunity - raise everyone above the “just living to survive” ethos.

May the momentum continue. #loveistheanswer

You ignited a grassroots campaign, built on the radical idea that everyone deserves to live in dignity.

This is a seismic victory — not only for the people of New York, but for all those who believe that humanity & hope can prevail.

There’s some principles which are becoming reality when far right parties are in power.

1. You’re on your own - the “The I’m All Right Jack” ethos is prominent.

2. If you’re a vulnerable person for whatever reason you will have to sink or swim.

It was a complete own goal.
Very slowly there is starting to be discussion of free movement of people between EU and UK, and I long suspected that this will be central to any major change, in truth regulatory sovereignty and independent trade policy are too abstract for most people... www.politico.eu/article/end-...
Ending EU free movement a ‘disaster’ for Britain, says Green Party’s Zack Polanski

Private rent in UK now swallows 44% of the average wage.

Monthly cost jumps to record £1,385 outside London, £2,736 in the capital.

Lack of social and affordable housing, no rent controls, as govts appease corporations and the rich.

Profiteering creating poverty/despair, stifling economic growth.

Any govt should make the right to an affordable home at the centre of their policy. They need to find a way to incentivise people to buy their own home if they wish or rent somewhere affordable. Using housing as a profit making entity for rich people has to stop.
Corporate Welfare

London developers to build fewer affordable homes, but get higher subsidies to build them.

Why build unaffordable homes?

Why subsidies for highly profitable companies? Subsidies will be swallowed by companies, won't filter down to people.

Let councils build affordable homes.
London developers to be allowed to reduce percentage of affordable homes
