Utah Republican proposes sale of more than 2 million acres of US lands
More than 2 million acres of federal lands would be sold to states or other entities under a budget proposal from Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee — including some in San Diego and Imperial Counties.

Yesterday, Donald Trump said that the U.S. has "too many non-working holidays."

Our so-called "pro-worker president" thinks that workers should have fewer days off.

Meanwhile, he's spending a huge chunk of his presidency (and taxpayer dollars) on the golf course.

Hello?

The Trump administration, with Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency, has gutted a small federal agency that provides funding to libraries and museums nationwide.

This threatens student field trips, classes for seniors, and access to digital library services.
The DOGE Axe Comes for Libraries and Museums
The Institute of Museum and Library Services has long received bipartisan support. But after years of trying, President Donald Trump has delivered it a crushing blow.

If you think what happened to Rumeysa Ozturk can't happen to you because you're a citizen and she's not, you are sorely mistaken. Ozturk was snatched off the street not for being a national security threat but for having a wrong opinion. If we don't put a stop to this, it's coming for all of us.

But new research from the OECD concludes that taking action towards ambitious targets on cutting greenhouse gas emissions would increase global GDP as soon as the end of the next decade

How women shaped the tech industry
It might come as a surprise to learn that computer programming was once predominantly a woman’s job. What can we do to close the gender cap? I'll share my views on it.

A sustainable world that works well for everyone - we all want to go there, but (1) the picture of what it could look like and (2) the roadmap how to get there need a serious boost. Currently studying this, can pont me to books, thinkers concepts that are relevant in this context? Much appreciated!
