Today’s takeaways from today’s event:
1. Passion gives staying power.
2. Rejection teaches: reflect, adapt, reapply.
3. PPIE isn’t one-size-fits-all: tailor it to enrich your work.
4. Skill building is a long term asset. Think 20yrs!
5. Good mentors are gold. Learn all you can & credit them!

As someone working in COPD research, I’m thrilled to be part of the the launch of COPD Voices: A Matter of Life & Breath.
Behind every stat, like “a COPD exacerbation every 20 seconds in the UK” is a real person, a real story.
It’s time to listen and push for change.

Today is World AIDS Day. Research has come far, but the fight isn't over. I'm thinking of my friends, family, and all impacted by HIV — you are loved, you are seen, and you are not alone. This is a cause I give to. Let's continue to support, remember, and fight together. #WorldAIDSDay

There’s never enough time at a conference! I attended #KUCI . A collaboration between KCL, Imperial and UCL. It was a pleasure to present my poster on the effects of oestrogen on inflammation in lung cells in-vitro. Inspired by the discussions, learning, and new connections. #COPDresearch

It’s World COPD Day-a time to raise awareness and break the stigma!

Women are disproportionately affected.

While we celebrate the progress, there’s an urgent need for more research & action, especially to support women living with COPD.

Let’s push for change together. 💙

The Handmaid's Tale is a good book. But did you know that there's a book written by a Black woman about a post-apocalyptic Earth heavily affected by climate change and societal decline. The book was published in 1993, but is set in 2024 following a presidential election 👀 #BookSky #BlackBookSky
