Hi @npr.org! We worked late tonight putting together this handy pocket guide!

It doesn't address road design issues, but if we're going to educate road users, we should include drivers.

It's the size of a folded business card. Print it, fold it, put it in your wallet!

The huge hidden demand of people that want to cycle, but feel they can’t, because of perceived or actual danger
Customer return: "My kids love it and I love it, but drivers in our area are not used to bikes. If I go in the car lane, people are cursing and honking at us for slowing them down. I can't find a route that feels safe." 😡#bunchfam

I haven’t seen it illustrated like this before. Very effective messaging. Of course it actually depends a lot on how fast the vehicle’s being driven, how big the vehicle is and how it’s designed, and how small the victims (too often kids) are. Via @yegbike.bsky.social #SpeedKills #CarBloat

@vancouverpd.bsky.social once again leading by example on Carrall Street. Asked another officer who offered to move them along, but then just kept driving. Thanks bud. @seanorr.bsky.social @lucymaloney.bsky.social @cityofvancouver.bsky.social @visionzerovancouver.ca

Anti-bike arguments aren’t just frustrating—they’re outdated, inaccurate, and often repeated without a shred of evidence.

The @vancouverpd.bsky.social once again showing they don't give a shit about the public safety of cyclists. @lucymaloney.bsky.social @seanorr.bsky.social can your next motion force them to respect bike lanes? @visionzerovancouver.ca

Nothing like almost getting right hooked by a member of the @vancouverpd.bsky.social because he didn't check his mirrors. And yes, it was the Carrall Street bike lane. Seriously, they should all spend a month on bike duty. @cityofvancouver.bsky.social @seanorr.bsky.social @lucymaloney.bsky.social

@vancouverpd.bsky.social decided the best place for their "Public Safety" trailer is in the middle of the Carrall Street bike lane. I guess public safety only counts for people who don't ride bikes. @visionzerovancouver.ca @cityofvancouver.bsky.social @seanorr.bsky.social @lucymaloney.bsky.social

Despite being the only bike lane to downtown for a huge portion of the city, plus a tons of tourists, the Carrall Street bike lane in Vancouver is woefully out of date. @seanorr.bsky.social @lucymaloney.bsky.social @cityofvancouver.bsky.social Can we do better? It's a loading zone at this point.

PP is really on the pulse of what laid off workers and struggling business owners need: more room to top up their TFSAs. He has no good policy ideas. No surprise he's passed zero legislation in 20 years.

People complaining about voter turn out seem to think that everyone who didn't vote would have voted for who the complainers preferred party. Maybe they didn't vote because they knew it was a lock already.
