He agreed the fee it collapsed due to the structure of the deal. If he had offered more up front we would have signed him.

Agree that it worked out well for us in the long run. This isn’t about the player identification it’s about how the club negotiated these deals.

WBA pulled the plug and we moved on to Son. This ended up being a stroke of good fortune.

I remember hearing all the same complaints when we brought in Pochettino. People said he wasn’t good enough or that he was just a small club manager.
Are we a top six club that should be aiming higher, or are we actually okay with finishing 17th? Which one is it?
