A busy week for new film releases in the UK, particularly for festival circuit films. One of the highlights from LFF was the return of Benoit Blanc in Wake Up Dead Man which now makes its way to UK cinemas.

Big week of interviews so apologies for the spam. Spoke with Ballad Of a Small Player screenwriter Rowan Joffe about bringing Lawrence Osborne's work to life. The film is on Netflix now.

Deliver Me From Nowhere isn't the only Bruce Springsteen release coming out. There's a comprehensive reissue of Nebraska with the fabled electric sessions. Took a look at it for @clashmusic.com.

The fact the weakest era Tame Impala (by some distance), is now his most commercially successful is really depressing. Lonerism still his peak.

One of my favourite films from LFF this year was The Secret Agent. A towering performance from Wagner Moura, who I hope gets plenty of awards season love. Full review for @spybrary.bsky.social.
