running season-long bulls thread. two games late but i had these thoughts elsewhere already. going to try to recap every bulls game (in a single post) this year. might be a day late on some games since real life is a thing.

basketball is great.

I feel like we need this

Great short thread on why trying to separate "woke" from progressive/leftist economic policy is not just dumb, it's also practically impossible
The thing I wish people like Carville et al would realize is that you cannot have ‘pure populist economic rage’ if you leave out the ‘woke’ bits. It doesn’t work like that.

It’s weird to me they don’t see this, so let’s see if we can walk it out.

Idk how long it's been off but my Bsky app stopped reminding me to use alt text, you might have to turn yours back on too
I turned the reminder back on 🤦🏻‍♀️ annoying

the ramp-up to iraq in the early 2000s was not even very sophisticated if you researched at all. but at the least there was an actual campaign of lying to the UN and lying to the American people. feels like we're going to just lurch into another conflict...just raw? not even pretending?

i'm a bit of a laker hater and i've never cared too much for luka but fuck this is cool

was very unsure if american pride could possibly exist ever again

happy? to be proven wrong
Good morning. In the past 24 hours, more Americans have Googled “felching” than have searched for “turkey recipes”

turkey is very mid. i'm also a vegetarian now so you can freely disregard my opinion, and i'd encourage you to do so either way, anyways

I've been screaming this to my users for months and months

"Would you trust a person who never says they don't know? That always gives you an answer with confidence, and only corrects themselves when caught?"

in honor of nahshon wright getting another pick (probably, under review) I encourage all of you who don't know who John Beam is, to read up and even watch his season of Last Chance U

My review of AI in the classroom: F-. It has no place in any learning environment. It's like letting kids use a calculator that gives them wrong answers.

Even if they get the right answer, they won't learn how to get to the right answer, and that's what learning is.

LLM usage: a review, by an infrastructure engineer/architect.

I've made a genuine effort to find places for LLMs to augment my work.

Context: my primary responsibilities include managing most parts of a large M365 tenant (basically everything except Intune/device management and many part of Azure)

Cloudflare suffered a service outage on November 18, 2025. The outage was triggered by a bug in generation logic for a Bot Management feature file causing many Cloudflare services to be affected.

Around these parts we call it the Jamie Tartt song
If we had to hear “Baby Shark” everywhere we went for two whole months out of the year we’d throw a fit, right?

And rightfully so.

So tell me, why do we put up with it when the song is “Frosty the Snowman”?

imagine a world good and fair enough where everyone's needs are met, opportunity to get your wants is ample, and our spare time gets to be huffing our own farts about the ethics and morality of beavis and fucking butthead

instead we have to argue with half the people that good things are good
The main difference between their characters is that I would view Butthead as being morally culpable for his crimes in a way I wouldn’t for Beavis. Beavis I’m almost instantly arguing down to manslaughter, Butthead is full Murder One

it doesn't make sense after all this time for the gop to just self-immolate like this

i am going to be highly skeptical of whatever "epstein files" get released by this government

i used to love debates over radiohead albums and songs

but i've re-digested their discography, and the only cogent finding i can report is that all of their songs are good and you should like everything
I will never understand people who say Weird Fishes/Arpeggi is the best Radiohead song. it’s like the 6th best song on In Rainbows! It’s fine but definitely not upper tier for me.

this infers that they think there's a "possible conflict with China" in the future, as if China hasn't already likely infiltrated our newly-unguarded-because-this-admin-is-all-morons infrastructure and copied every single bit and byte they've found
Scoop: CISA plans to embark on a hiring spree and change some workforce policies in an effort to rebuild its depleted ranks ahead of a possible conflict with China, according to a memo from its acting director that I obtained.
