My shifters are quirky because they shift into anthro forms and are extra blessed by the moon. Kitten takes as much advantage of it as they can!

First, there is a lot of improvement between the two images! Love it! (⁠◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍⁠)
If I may try help: Maybe it's the eyes being two different shapes, esp the upper eyelids? And/or the nose being at a very different angle than the face itself?
That's what stuck out to me at least at this WIP stage
