I look at #Commodore64 "Stunt Car Racer". Published in 1989 by MicroStyle, coded by Geoffrey Crammond. Using double buffered bitmaps, nice use of sprites, bitmap clear and engine draw, with a delta colour update, 3D Line draw, and a tweak to render more track!

I've been using Microsoft products since 1982. I've used every version of Windows since v3.0, yet I'm utterly astonished how much Windows 11 tries to get in the way of me doing what I want to do.

@eventhorizonshow.bsky.social loving the podcast, but can I request 2 adjustments? Can you normalise the audio to so that the adverts don't shock me whilst I'm listening at night. Also, can you remove the faint background soundtrack?

We fixed the vintage IBM printer at the Computer History Museum yesterday. Introduced in 1959, the IBM 1403 line printer provided fast, high-quality output, printing 132 character lines. Unfortunately, one column stopped printing, so we disassembled the printer to fix a bad hammer. Keep reading...

I take a look at #Commodore64 "Arctic Shipwreck". Published by Commodore in 1983, developed by F°451 Software with music by Marton Saghegyi. It has a really nice iceberg draw, an early example of a sprite sheet, and you play a mammoth!
