This is such a a magical tale. I mean, it’s dystopian scifi but the story feels like magic it’s so beautifully done. Comgratulations @ianli.bsky.social and thank you for publishing it @smallwondersmag.com
Today's story is a reminder that even in dark times, good people exist. @ianli.bsky.social introduces us to Jing, "The Memory Technician" - we think you'll like her.

I just finished reading this and it was delicious. The reviewer says it all better and smarter than I could, I’ll just add that it was wonderful, fun, utterly engaging, and gorgeously imagined and written. A.C. Wise: more Bastion please! (The book itself is gorgeous too-I ordered the hardcover.)
REVIEW: Out of the Drowning Deep by A.C. Wise
Out of the Drowning Deep by A.C. Wise is entertaining, moving, and gave me a fresh perspective on myself–what more could I want?

I am so heartened to read this parenthetical in Neil Gaiman’s introduction to ‘Realms of Fantasy’:
“(I noted down, as I read, dozens of books I had never heard of along with authors of whom I knew nothing, and from whom I am now determined to learn.)”
So excited to read on in this beautiful book.

Weekend occurrences in Chazzlandia, two happifying & one not so much: 1) received my first ever royalty check, 2) applied for full SFWA membership, & 3) because of those two I am no longer eligible for a contest I have such a fun story for. I’m attempting to be mature about this, but: garbage sauce.
