The Chinook Justice Campaign
@chinookjustice.bsky.social
We are the families of those who died on June 2nd 1994 when an RAF Chinook crashed on the Mull of Kintyre. The Ministry of Defence has locked away the files for 100 years. We want access, answers, accountability & a public inquiry. What is being hidden?
November 9, 2025 at 11:33 AM
Today we remember all the brave men and women who gave their lives to protect others - both in war and in peacetime, whether on active duty or not.

"While it would be fantastic to meet with the MOD, we hope the PM will be able to attend when it happens so he can hold the MOD accountable," says Esme Sparks - whose dad Gary was killed in the 1994 crash. #chinookjustice

After 18 months, ministers have finally agreed to meet our families.

Last night, the PM confirmed ministers would meet us.

But we want @primeministeruk.bsky.social to join that meeting or else
@defencehq.bsky.social will be marking its homework again.

Thank you to all the MPs who raised our case in the @houseofcommons.parliament.uk last night during the #hillsboroughbill debate and to @sorchaeastwood.bsky.social
who said our case should be the "test case" for the government's commitment to duty of candour on public bodies. #chinookjustice

The Prime Minister promised transparency & accountability in public office. His disgraceful decision to deny the @chinookjustice.bsky.social families an opportunity to find out the truth is the opposite of that. You can support the families fight for justice here 👇

A very happy 96th birthday to our most senior campaigner - John Dockerty, whose son Chris was killed in the 1994 crash. Still fighting for answers and supporting our campaign to get justice and the truth about his son's death - while blowing out his candles. #chinookjustice
