Last day of the IRATE workshop in Erlangen. See the happy faces! Looks like everybody had a good time and hopefully fruitful discussions... can't wait to see the outcomes published ^^ (no pressure at all ;))

Squeezing in one more art piece before the end of 2024, a year after having the opportunity to do fieldwork in the Candeleros Fm of Argentina's Neuquén Basin. That trip inspired this piece, which depicts a group of titanosaurs traveling a dry interdune riverbed at sunset. #paleoart #sauropods 🦕

Hey y’all! I’m a PhD Candidate at the U of Minnesota in paleontology focused on experimental taphonomy in river/floodplain environments! I also enjoy doing science outreach through art, film, and music! You can find that stuff here and on YouTube at Earth Encompassed!

In what is now Austin, a Tylosaur cruises past Pilot Knob Volcano, a volcanic island in the Western Interior Seaway. A shoal of Hoplopteryx follow as it passes over a reef along the volcano’s flanks, and the ash cloud is set ablaze by the light of a Cretaceous sunset. #paleoart #mosasaurs #geology

Had a great time doing field work in Utah, looking for Cretaceous #fossils in places like the Book Cliffs! Lots of #geology to see and interpret, and lots of stories to tell from the rocks!
