Do you ever look back on interactions from a long time ago where you were pretending not to be an open wound and remember that there was someone who could have been sowing discord between you and someone else? That's been happening to me a lot lately.

You know what's really weird about me? You can deeply hurt me, but I will still carry a grudge against people who came for you when you and I were kumares... like, it could have happened in 1997, but I will still hold onto that blood feud like the pig's blood had been poured on you yesterday.

The cruelty of cutting down trees in DTLA without permission or any sort of plan to replace it with any greenery feels like a coordinated assault on the unhoused population in that area...

I remember back in the year 2004– when I was a 4th year undergrad– one of my classmates did her senior project focusing on this thesis statement: "Green Day fucking sold out." It was one of the most boring (and self-evident) arguments I have ever seen in a classmate's project. Still is 21 yrs later

I just told an elder relative that my student loan payments are the marriage that I'm in. And like with marriage, I chose based on attraction rather than purpose and sustainability. Now, I'm chained to these payments until I die or until I receive a large window of un-taxable money

St Denis Medical is not for me. I think it will be enjoyable for a lot of other folks though. I will say that I enjoyed the parts of the "Salamat You Too" episode focused on the so-called Filipino nurse mafia. Very fun.

Somewhere out there is my missing journal that documents a period of time where I am trying to talk myself out of how hurt and confused I am. Now, years into these feelings, I accept them for what they are: a sign that one part of my life needs to evolve.
