Horrific. Everyone needs to speak out against the demonization of trans people.
One of the things the Nazis did when coming to power was push propaganda that Jews were criminals and prone to violence by focusing on crime committed by Jews or fabricating crime they falsely attributed to Jews.

I'm Jewish and I think about antisemitism all the time. I can't tell you how fucking weird it is that Homeland Security posting literal neo-Nazi propaganda generates less discussion about the threat to Jews than a mayoral candidate who believes Palestinians are human beings.
In my experience, people often think that, wherever they live in the world, crime is particularly bad there. It's a fear fed by politicians and corporate media - and one that is often belied by the evidence on the ground if you actually visit the places that they're talking about.
