Many use the word exponential without knowing what it actually means.
One thing that does increase exponentially is the amount of water the air can hold with every degree Celsius (+7%) of temperature increase.
This leads to both more (extreme) evaporation and precipitation.

Oh boy, another COP climate summit is beginning. In 1995, the year of the first COP, average worldwide daily consumption of all fossil fuels combined was 161 million barrels of oil equivalent. This year, 30 years later, it will top 260 million barrels of oil equivalent. The progress is palpable.

When climate talks have done practically nothing in almost 30 years and has become far less about making policy to protect the planet, and more like an economic opportunity for the status quo worth destroying the planet for, it has no reason to exist.

People who are greedy are primitive. Greed exists because when humans were still wanderers, they lacked resources. There is no reason for people to be greedy in this day and age. Those people are purely selfish.
