I don’t trust genAI used as placeholders because, once the devs show they think it’s ok to use it “a little”, then there’s no telling where they’ll stop

We’re 5 months into the future, and behold: they lied about its usage, and had an award stripped from them as a result

Finding out that Clair Obscur used slop generation—even as a placeholder— just killed my interest in the game. I already have so much good stuff to play, read, and watch.

Knowing that the creators think AI is ok at any stage makes it easy to take their projects off my wishlists.

if i find out you used generative ai in any part of your process i'm dropping your shit immediately. i'm surrounded by passionate peers who are exhausted by their daily jobs but still make art, you can use your fucking brain & be creative for 2 seconds especially if it's your JOB
