Former Christian pondering the different claims about supernatural fauna that fellow humans like to make.

Superlatheist: I believe a real god should be infinitely above what humans can concoct.

To those believing wholeheartedly that the Bible was ahead of its time, please be consistent with divine wisdom and do use stone tablets and manuscripts for your urgent messages to humans, instead of instantaneous communication, anywhere, to anyone, with automatic translation.

Be consistent.
Por qué un Dios que quiere ser conocido por todos, necesitaría de testigos y predicadores, oráculos y profetas, como el resto de los dioses inventados?

Las subliminales traicionan su origen común.

A God who metaphysically links sin with the disorder of nature does not want to maximize the well-being of his creatures.

In Christian mythology, the first woman was a transsexual clone from a man's side, and the main character was born of a virgin, but allegedly a man.

There is a lot of material to support trans people there, yet bigots gonna bigot!

If a God existed, he would be the necessary enabler and accomplice in all crimes committed by anyone, anywhere, anytime.
Freely choosing evil and freely acting on it are two different things.

All the gods that we still have are anchored in space and time, just like every other ancient good imagined by ancient cultures.
What a suspicious anti-miracle that they all share!

Reminder that we have more contemporary evidence for a wrong copper delivery, from 1750 years before Jesus, than for any of the alleged adventures of Jesus.

Watching the USA debacle I suspect that the strength of a social system is not ultimately defined by its clever checks and balances or its previous endurance or former glories, but by the people currently in it.
No social system is above human error.

Two things that I hope we can agree on:
1. There is no God who preaches himself,
2. We know that man-made gods have to be preached by others.

Now, don't tell me that your god also needs to be preached, but he is the only true one of all that lot!

What a common anti-miracle!

To me the doubting Thomas tale shows the irrelevance of faith when the goods are delivered.
A real God can quench any doubt just by appearing.

To this day, there are Christian arguing if certain passages in the Bible are to be taken literally or metaphorically.
Therefore, the Bible cannot be a reliable path to truths.

All the gods still believed are hidden, no matter how powerful.

Conveniently, all the believable gods that humans can create are, by necessity, also hidden.

One will say it is a common anti-miracle. Others will say it betrays their common origin.

Have you ever noticed that zealots are always way more interested in others acknowledging their favorite magical being, than the actual magical beings themselves?
Another shared anti-miracle!

Dear Christians:
I cannot, in good conscience, accept the immoral proposition that the blood sacrifice of an INNOCENT is exchangeable for ANYTHING, least for guilty ones, least of all if it is in my selfish benefit.
I will not be an accomplice in that immorality.

Thanks, but no, thanks.

This is why faith is often used instead of logic.

Maybe, just maybe, the concept of "divine human representatives", widely accepted among the gods (those still believed and the mythological ones), is betraying their common origin...

Cristian mythology is weird!
Spoiler alert:
sheep do not find a shepherd, but the other way around.
Thieves do not find policemen, but the other way around.

Now you know.

Imagine being a God, capable of giving the most verifiable poke-hole evidence ever for the claim of your resurrection, but decided to go with faith in human tales instead!

You should unalive yourself for a few millennia, following such incompetence!

A perfect universe in EVERY attribute is way more expected under theism than the REAL universe.

What now?

I was asked by a religionist what would make me a believer in her particular brand of supernatural fauna.

I replied: why are YOU showing more interest in this than the omnipotent and omniscient being/s you like, who should know exactly what it takes for me to believe in them?

YOU ARE NOT THAT.
