just saw someone on a Rover reddit community claim that NO poodle crosses are toilet trained. i know oodle bashing is in there but come on now. do they really think that many people are living with non toilet trained dogs? funny they are so picky as i would never ever use a rover sitter

matilda had her four week nurse check up today and her weight has gone from 3.7kg to 4.5kg! all that eating paid off

tried to use some nappy i got as a sample rather than the brand i’ve been using. i can’t find the sticky tabs at all, baby is screaming, she starts to pee on the spare bed cos i can’t get the nappy on. Never again.

i took Matilda to Southland today while pup was at the groomer. that was an experience haha. i got some bigger clothes for her and some christmas gifts though

i have a post partum doula who comes on fridays. she has been awesome, she brought me this greek dessert yesterday- it’s just total comfort food, pastry and custard and nutmeg. she also made me some dinners i can heat and eat one handed is the last few days even frozen stuff was too hard.

my mum came over for a few nights cos Matilda was cluster feeding and wanting to be held constantly and i was losing it, i couldn’t even feed myself. i think she was probably going through a growth spurt as now. one of her newborn clothes fit!

i’m watching Outlander as it’s sort of suitably trashy enough to watch at 3am and i’m finding those night feedings are easier if you have some entertainment. and there are 7 seasons so will keep me going for awhile

i got a big morning sleep from Tilly and she slept in the carrier at the park but then paid for it with our first full on genuine witching hour. she would not be put down and was so distressed but didn’t want anything in particular. poor thing. finally cried herself to exhaustion
