Continues to baffle me how often prolonged deep, contemplative, academically oriented thinking so often leads to the same conclusions arrived at by burnt-out teens and young adults doing far too many psychedelics.

Adderall Day 1: I’ve lived in fear of taking this my whole life, but finally made my way through the process to get a prescription. I can say fearing this was dumb I feel entirely normal, just better, clearer. Only a few hours in and I already feel like maybe this is what I’ve needed my whole life.

Just got done with an awesome photo shoot with my fiancée that was just us drinking champagne and having fun with props in a studio while a camera snapped a picture every ten seconds. Great time, great photos.

I played an imaginary game with my friends as a kid that had a whole storyline and everything (you know the kind) and one of the centerpieces of the game was people’s aura. After several months most of us were swearing we could really see them, myself included. Childhood imagination? Maybe not.

- I was off put by the religious zealotry of my hometown and wanted better answers to The Big Questions than Southern Baptism was giving me. This got me into philosophy at a young age and I’ve never stopped.

The weirdest to see, and most helpful, part of the faith I was born into was definitely the foot washings.
