It’s been a busy week 👇🏼

Bus speeds are falling, with speeds in Greenwich at a record low.

And Greenwich Labour continue their war on cars as their Mayor brings our bus network to its knees.

We need a focus on better services rather than an ideological crusade against cars.

Today is #SmallBusinessSaturday!

One of my biggest passions is supporting small businesses as both a councillor and my day job.

But you shouldn’t just support small businesses today, you should support them all year round!

We know the spread of HMOs across the borough is a huge priority for residents.

But the plans being brought forward aren’t going to even begin to address the issue.

And when the Local Plan consultation goes live next week, make sure you tell Labour they’re weak, weak, weak.

Tomorrow is the final day of TfL’s consultation for the SL15 and we’re calling for it to be extended to Woolwich as well as going via Mottingham.

We met with Thames Water this week to discuss the continued disruption on Footscray Road in Eltham.

We’ll keep lobbying for a long-term solution, but have secured commitments from TW to improve the situation.

𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬.

After Labour broke multiple manifesto pledges today with their Budget, I’ve written to Clive Efford asking if he still plans on delivering on his promise to restore trust in politics.

Out this afternoon on the Avery Hill estate speaking to residents about the need for more parking.

Avery Hill has very poor public transport links & most residents need to drive to get around.

RBG needs to understand that different areas of the borough have different needs.

Great morning out speaking to residents in New Eltham. Plenty of concern raised about Sigma’s plans to build 205 homes at the STC.

I’ve been clear that this is an unacceptable development on Metropolitan Open Land and a loss of vital green space and I have formally objected to the scheme.

Last month, TfL launched their consultation for the proposed SL15 Superloop service between Clapham Junction and Eltham.

There are under three weeks to respond to the consultation and you can see the proposed route below.

It was a privilege to lay a wreath at the Eltham War Memorial this Remembrance Sunday.

A poignant reminder of the sacrifice made so we can enjoy our freedom.

Out this morning in Kidbrooke Park with our plan to:

🏚️ Stop the spread of HMOs across the borough
🅿️ Oppose Labour’s Unsustainable Streets parking controls
🏗️ Continue to stand up for residents against Labour’s Leaseholder tax.

Disappointing that Labour’s disastrous LTN has been given the seal of approval.

🌳 Negligible impact on air quality
🚙 Huge increase in traffic on boundary roads
🗣️ Widespread opposition

If you live in the LTN or boundary roads, Labour do not care about your opinion.

We were out litter picking for Councillor Greenwell’s litter pick this morning at Eltham Park South.

Our eldest enjoyed using her ‘glitter’ stick to pick up the litter 🤣

Out in Chislehurst this morning - positive response.

So many residents feeling let down by this Labour government and their Labour MP.

🥀 Greenwich Labour don’t want you to know that they’re responsible for increasing fly-tipping in our borough 🥀

🥀 This evening, Greenwich Labour decided not to put in place a plan to tackle issues with anti-social behaviour from delivery bikes on Eltham High Street.

Greenwich Labour aren’t serious about Eltham or our High Street 🥀

Can you write something like:

Unbelievable support yesterday and great effort by the lads! Hard result to take! But we go again
October 29, 2025 at 7:58 PM
Next week we’re taking our plan to the Town Hall to tackle delivery bikes on Eltham High Street.

Targeted enforcement. Tighter restrictions. Better collaboration.

Simple, common-sense solutions for an issue that matters to you.

I’ve been contacted by Lidl regarding plans to redevelop the Mecca Bingo site on Eltham Hill.

Plans include 21 flats, 7 townhouses, community space & new Lidl store.

FWIW I think this is a great use of the site and delivers much needed housing. Keen to hear others views too.

Labour’s own report shows their LTN has had a negligible impact on air quality.

This isn’t about air quality, it never has been. It’s about making money from hard working Greenwich residents.

And that’s why we’re calling on Labour to scrap it.

Meridian Home Start are revising their plans for Shepherds Leas near Falconwood — lowering the height from 7 to 6 storeys and replacing the turquoise façade with something more in keeping with the area.

Photos from my run this weekend. It’s amazing that this is Zone 4 in London.

We’re so lucky to have green space like this on our doorstep and it’s so important that we continue to protect it.
October 12, 2025 at 4:49 PM
The Greenwich LTN has done nothing for air quality & has pushed traffic onto boundary roads — the scheme is proof Labour’s war on drivers is ideological, not environmental.

That’s why we’ve called in the decision to make the scheme permanent.

Being a local councillor isn’t all glamour - I popped down to New Eltham this afternoon to water the planters outside the Coop to make sure they continue to brighten up the village.
