“The state keeps killing us to instill a warning & then shows us videos of its agents doing it.”

Police killings are warnings that say, “You will be next if you don’t stay in your place,” wrote @williamcson.bsky.social. To disrupt the state's monopoly on violence, we must abolish the police.
Police killings are public executions
Abolishing the police requires recognizing police killings as a fascistic tool and breaking cycles of fear and complacency

This is one of the most important cases that galvanized Black people in the late 40s through the 1950s. Almost every major Black leader had a comment about it. It is also one of the most successful defense committees that was organized in the 20th century. Almost no one knows about it today.
On this day in 1948, an all-white jury sentenced a Black woman and two of her teenage sons to death for killing an armed white man in self-defense.

YOU are the one who likely said nothing. Plenty of the rest of us were organizing or at least yelling about Deportations during the Obama years. In Chicago, the Moratorium on Deportations was organizing heavy.

They don’t think, they collaborate.
Do Democrats really think that giving ICE bodycams (which they already have) & more funding for "training" is going to placate their base as the regime uses DHS to escalate repression for the next 3 years? I don't think they've really thought this through.

This is what is required to sustain and escalate the fight we’re in.

One day marches are powerful for showing the scale of potential force we have.

But that force is only exercised when we get embedded in long term organizing and take the fight to bosses, landlords, and the state.

I'm not interested in whataboutism & disparaging ppl. As an organizer, I appreciate ppl are joining, and I hope my work is of service. Stay in the struggle & keep building.
