The president does not need to go to Congress for anything resembling “this type” of war, fwiw, because the strikes were certainly not planned as an act of war but rather a covert action. There’s a legal difference.
But it’s all still so dumb.

You have to go through Congress for anything resembling this type of war. Round up Massie and Paul types and have him removed. The people in this administration are on actual drugs and have insatiable bloodlust and bespoke mental illnesses. He has to go, and everybody with him.

Not to bring my day job onto here, but it’s unlikely that Venezuela’s opposition groups get the keys to the government in the near term. It’ll be the military or current regime — that’ll depend on the public’s response to the power vacuum and sovereignty violation.
