Maybe it is the abuses that create division, not report of the abuse, not consequence for the abuse.

Maybe it is bullying that causes division, not fighting the bully on behalf of the bullied.

Maybe it is lies that cause division, not the telling of truths.

Maybe we need to change the frame.

If a student’s reaction to assigned material is “I reject the assigned material outright as a matter of personal belief,” the response should be “we respect your beliefs so much that we’re unenrolling you from this class to make room for a student interested in engaging with the subject.”

You don't diminish the education of nurses and other skilled health care workers by removing the "professional" designation to their degrees if you want the country to have good health care. We need more people in the field. You don't discourage them, you incentivize them.

This is of course a post about Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Someday someone is going to have to explain to me (like I'm a 5yr old) why Democrats think it's a good idea to invite people, who've undermined and insulted THEM and THEIR WORK for years, into their circle simply because the erratic President doesn't like that person anymore (today).

This is the sort of brazen lie you tell when you’re trying to demonstrate your power by showing you can say shit that everyone knows is a lie, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.

The Republicans have been promising a specific plan as an alternative to Obamacare ever since it passed in 2010. The promise is 15 1/2 years old now. That's probably why they don't seem very sincerely interested in it.

No Republicans should ever be permitted to live down Trump. It should be a generational shame that haunts their descendants.

The idea that we should move on from this open criminal who waged war against his own country and global democracy *while he is still waging it* is quantum complicity.
Lead front-page story in today's NYT

Time-travel dept:

-I don't remember front-page NYT stories "It's 1993, and GOP Is Still Running Against Clinton." That's what they did, for huge mid-term win.

-Nor "It's 2009, and GOP Is Still Running Against Obama." Which they did, for huge win.

Weird.
