A lie, of course, as profit is the only concern here. How can you grow a sport behind a pay wall. Once again, sport shows itself to be of benefit to those that can afford it.

This will stop next year when the organisers sell their soul to pay tv, to a company that lost £190m last year. Along with sporting governing bodies in this country, the organisers will say they are growing the sport for future generations.

I've watched the Tour de France for over 20 years on ITV, it remains the best sporting event on TV. The quality of the coverage is outstanding, as are the presenters.

It's the football authorities, I think, who condone such behaviours through inaction. Refs condone behaviour through inaction, players gambling leads to bigger fines than racially abusing a player. FFP is ineffective posturing.

194 years ago today that the Merthyr riots started. The red flag was flown for the first time. A short lived uprising against working class oppression but one in a proud tradition of Welsh agitation.

This is the biggest criticism of EWCB, in light of the Ashes debacle. Resources have been focused, almost exclusively on the top end of the player pathway and not on the development of a coherent club structure.
Surely, every sport needs this, it is a core function of any NGB.

Great to see Glammy women off to a winning start 👇. Sad that Ffion isn't involved. To make matters worse, there are limited opportunities for girls and women, below this level, to play club/league cricket.
